Art has always been part of Stacey’s life.
With her mom’s ceramic studio just below her bedroom, Stacey grew up hearing the sounds of classes travel up through the heating vent, along with the unmistakable smell of the kiln that still feels nostalgic today. She would press her ear to the vent and listen to her mom teaching downstairs. Her dad encouraged that love of art too, giving her an early appreciation for art in all its forms, taking her into Manhattan for museum visits and Broadway shows from an early age.
Stacey went on to study fine arts in college, where she built the foundation for her watercolor work. Over the years, she continued learning through workshops, art retreats, and mentorships that helped shape her style and approach.
Today, much of Stacey’s inspiration comes from Cape Cod and the natural beauty of the coast. She is especially drawn to sea life, local places, and the simple details that make this area so special. Her watercolor style is loose, warm, and full of personality.
Stacey currently lives on Cape Cod with her husband, son, and two dogs. Her work can be found at Masterson Made in Woods Hole, at local art shows, through private sales, and on Instagram.
And really, that’s the thing about Stacey. She paints what she loves and hopes it finds its way to someone who loves it too.
